Specializing for over twenty-five years in the sale, installation, and maintenance of hardwood floors, Parquets Pro was commissioned by the municipality of Bessoncourt to take over a failed project. “The town asked us to reinstall the hardwood flooring in the new community hall and changing rooms. […] The existing flooring had suffered numerous problems and was coming loose in several places,” explains Julien Piccardi, the company's manager. With all the existing flooring removed, Parquets Pro recommended and installed 425 m² of 22 mm thick oak flooring laid on its end. After complete sanding and the application of a filler, the company opted for a PRIM’SO hard primer followed by two coats of PUR-T®4 extra-matte varnish, with intermediate sanding. “We chose this finish because it is particularly resistant to heavy traffic and therefore to the demands of using the hall.” Beyond product performance, this 16th edition confirms a fundamental trend: the high-quality renovation of existing parquet floors, whether heritage, commercial, or public, is emerging as a sustainable alternative to systematic replacement. By showcasing these projects, the finishing specialist highlights companies capable of combining technical expertise, adherence to deadlines, and fulfilling aesthetic requirements in often demanding operating environments.
