Atulam delivers a bespoke renovation at the foot of the Eiffel Tower

Just steps from the Eiffel Tower, the company Atulam demonstrates its expertise with the creation of 19 custom-made windows and doors in a Haussmannian building. A demanding project, combining technical skill, respect for the original architecture, and high-end finishes.

It was in an elegant Parisian apartment, located in the immediate vicinity of the Eiffel Tower, that Atulam was commissioned to completely renovate the exterior joinery. This project, of significant heritage value, required technical precision to be combined with the faithful reproduction of the original architectural elements. Produced in their workshops in Jarnages, in the Creuse region, nearly twenty custom-designed window and door frames were created by the manufacturer's teams. Among them, two imposing arched openings, unique in both their shape and dimensions, were crafted using special templates. They incorporate "a specific shape in elevation and a decorative motif in the transom, highlighting the building's stylistic richness," explains the contractor.

Expertly Crafted Wooden Joinery

The windows and French doors, expertly installed by Fenêtres d’Hier et d’Aujourd’hui, are from the Tradilou range, developed to meet the needs of renovations in protected areas. Made from exotic African wood, these joinery pieces incorporate many details of traditional openings, while meeting current thermal and acoustic comfort requirements (see inset). In addition to the technical skill and meticulous attention to detail in the design of the 19 joinery pieces – two arched windows, ten custom-made French doors, and seven straight double-leaf windows – the project is also distinguished by the unique dimensions of its frames. Some French doors reach a height of 2,800 mm, "including a double-leaf exterior door with two fixed side panels, each 2,400 mm wide," the carpenter continues. This high-end, custom renovation project illustrates Atulam's ability to meet precise specifications without compromising on quality. All components were delivered with a factory-painted finish and a 15-year warranty, ensuring excellent durability and ease of maintenance for the end customer.
